Development History
10 July 2023: Local planners nominate the building for the Register. The property, latterly used as accommodation for hotel staff, was substantially fire damaged in December 2022. The building had been under marketing for sale in 2021, it is thought a proposed sale to new owners fell through after the fire. Monitor at Alert until the end of 2023 to allow time for owners to bring forward repair plans.
25 January 2024: Local planners advise the property remains disused and a repair scheme has yet to commence. Re-assessment of the building is completed using photographs and information sent by Highland Council.

Photographs of the principle elevations evidence the building has suffered significant fire damage. Roofs have been lost, chimney stacks lost or are truncated, wallheads are damaged with masonry loose/ lost in sections. Much of the interior is presumed to have been lost. It could not be ascertained from the photographs whether internal walls/ floors remain. The single storey outbuilding to the rear of the plot remains intact and may not have been damaged by the fire. Security fencing has been installed around the building.

Moved to At Risk.
