October 2008: External inspection finds the jetty is beginning to disintegrate: three sections have begun to collapse.
27 September 2012: External inspection finds large numbers of granite capstones have collapsed or been dislodged since the previous site visit.
1 April 2021: The owners of Calgary Castle have contacted the At Risk service to advise that they are hoping to pursue stabilisation and repair works of the pier following inspection by structural engineers.
