Description

Small building with slated roof, built almost entirely from fragments of tomb-stones, many of them elaborately carved. Level of Old churchyard was raised 6 feet in 1849 to accommodate victims of the cholera epidemic. (Historic Scotland)

September 2011: External inspection finds this small but interesting building that has sufferred badly from stone decay. Cement pointing has seriously damamged the stone work and accelerated decay. The timber window has exposed frames and is boarded up.
