Description

Stone with wrought-iron lattice arches 2-arch over S section rubble walled section with decking on girders over small island, 1-arch N section, before 1842. Decking very dilapidated.

Gillies records Queen Victoria entered the grounds by this bridge 1842. (Historic Scotland)

23 August 2013: Nominated for the Register by a member of the public as being in poor condition with missing decking. For Investigation.
19 February 2014: Inspection finds the bridge in very poor condition - closed to access, severely decayed with extensive vegetation growth. At Risk. The consented revised development plan for the estate (11/00533/FLM) notes a continued commitment to the conservation of all listed structures within the estate, as proposed within the original (03/02250/PPLB ) consents.
