Development History
January 2017: Nominated by a member of the public. The doocot is advised to have been separated from much of the associatde garden buildings and has been vandalised. For Investigation.
6 March 2019: External inspection finds this former doocot disused and in poor condition. Windows are broken, missing or boarded up. It is exposed to the elements with pigeons nesting. A metal door secures the main entrance. Harling is cracking and has been lost in places, exposing the brickwork. Extensive vegetation growths cover the grounds and there appears to have been some vandalism to the garden wall. The building now sits isolated next to a modern housing development as Gordon Brae Road now subdivides Danestone House walled garden. Risk Moderate. Move to At Risk.
