Development History
29 November 2018: Limited external inspection possible from public street vantage point. From what could be viewed the main building has been extensively damaged by fire now roofless with limited interior intact. The two lower extensions appear to retain their roofs and it could not be ascertained to what extent they suffered fire-damage. Windows to lower levels are boarded up. There is extensive vegetation growth to walls.
28 March 2019: Full Planning Permission and Conservation Area Consent for partial demolition and conversion of the building into flats with new build dwellings within the surrounding grounds (18/03191/FUL & 18/03192/CON)are being sought. Supporting documents with the applications note the property was last in use as a shop with flatted accommodation above, and that the property was fire damaged in 2014.
15 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk. Consent for conversion to form 3 dwellings, with associated new build within the grounds, was conditionally approved in 2020.
