Development History
21 April 2021: Property nominated for the Register through HES Planning Consents and Advice team as disused. Likely to have last been in use with the adjacent former distillery, area now understood to be proposed for a residential development. An associated, but unlisted, stables lies nearby. For Investigation.
7 July 2021: A member of the public nominates Carsebridge House and associated buildings for the At Risk Register.
15 July 2021: Limited external inspection possible from an area of public access. The building is disused and boarded up, situated in a prominent position within a cleared development site. From what could be viewed overall the building is now in Very Poor condition. The roof's south pitch has slates missing exposing the sarking, with slipped and damaged slates evident to all pitches and a open rooflight to the north pitch. Flashing on dormers are missing. Chimney cans are broken and in general need of repair. Downpipes and gutters are missing in places, where they remain they are blocked with vegetation. Walls have visible areas of damp and skews are overgrown. Temporary metal sheeting partially covers openings - there are no visible remains of window frames or glazing. Doors are boarded up. Site has substantial stone boundary walls to north and west, with security fencing elsewhere. Move to At Risk.

Planning Permission in Principle for redevelopment of the wider site is being sought (21/00069/PPP) whilst the design statement submitted as part of this application notes an intention to retain the property there is no further information on the means by which this will be achieved.
20 October 2023: A member of the public informs us that the security fencing has been removed or vandalised and the building seems to have suffered more damage.
