Former dining hall of WWII military camp in the grounds of Newbattle Abbey House. Single storey brick building with metal sheeting roofing. Of the wartime huts, about 23 are still extant in an area to the north of Newbattle Abbey House.

Development History
11 February 2022: External inspection finds that the building appears vacant and is in poor condition. There has been partial roof loss at the northeast corner. Many of the window panes have been broken and the interior shows signs of damage and dampness. Fencing intended to block access to ruinous section to northeast has been damaged. There is dense vegetation growth on the rear west elevation.
