Development History
22 June 2022: No longer in ecclesiastical use and understood to be disused. The Courier reported (16/04/2020) on the marketing for sale through auction of the church. The article goes on to note the building was damaged during storms in 2016 and may have been disused since. Listed Building Consent (20/00199/LBC) to remove internal features (related to the historic clock mechanism) was refused in 2020. For Investigation.
12 April 2023: External inspection finds the church remains disused. The Courier reported (21/04/2016) the church had been temporarily closed to worship after ceiling collapses following storm damage. The building was subsequently sold to new owners by the Church of Scotland, but was returned to the market in 2022 through agents Graham Sibbald, and is now (13/04/2023) Under Offer.

Close inspection was not possible but from what could viewed, the south west roof pitch has a substantial number of missing and slipped roof slates. A rooflight appears to have lost a glazing. Dampness to walls/ salts beneath rusting downpipes suggests rainwater goods are defective. Dampness and salts are notably evident to the tower's first stage, the clock faces intact but much faded. Closer inspection of masonry may identify further areas of damage, notably to the tower. There are some broken window glazings to the main, north, elevation. A louvre is missing to the tower's west aperture. The north west and south elevations could not be assessed. Move to At Risk.
