Development History
Sepember 1994: SCT is contacted by a member of the public who advises the lodge to be boarded up and unused, although the castle itself has now been fully restored. March 1997: External inspection finds the former lodge vacant and boarded up. SCT understands that the owner would not be prepared to sell, but may consider a long-term restoring lease. January 2000: Local planners are unaware of any change. October 2006: The owner confirms that the information on the BAR record is correct. November 2007: External inspection reveals the lodge to be secured, but overall in poor external condition. The structure is no longer covered by harling. There is a sapling growing from the arch parapet.
3 November 2010: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit.
16 October 2013: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously. A new door has been fitted to the lodge house. Trees are beginning to encroach upon the archway.
