Description
3 polygonal game larders in the garden to the rear of Montcoffer House. 2 of the larders are in coursed rubble with brick arches, ashlar dressings, base, band and eaves courses and a cornice, whilst the third larder is in wood. Roofs are in grey slate. The west larder is classical in style, with a doorway under an impost course. A semi-circular keystoned fanlight sits above, repeated as windows above the impost course on the other elevations. The polygonal roof features a wooden louvred ventilator at the apex, topped by an ogival leaded roof with ball finial. Trelliswork cladding survives on some of the elevations. The east larder is Tudor is style. The doorway sits under a letterbox fanlight. The flanking elevation are alternately blank or with round-arched timber casement windows. The polygonal roof terminates in a finial and fox weathervane. Trelliswork cladding survives on some of the elevations. The smaller north larder is in wood and features a door with a rectangular fanlight.

Development History
9 August 1993: The Aberdeen Press and Journal reports that the larders are in a poor state of repair, with works estimated at £21,000. 11 August 1993: The Banffshire Journal reports that the larders are not eligible for Historic Scotland grant aid, though grant aid from Banff and Buchan District Council's conservation grant scheme has been approved. May 1996: External inspection reveals the larders to be run down, with the west larder particularly dilapidated and topped by a holed roof. SCT understands that the owners were refused Council grant assistance and do not have the necessary funds to restore. January 2004: Local planners report that the larders are in new ownership.
February 2008: External inspection finds the west larder in very poor condition with a collapsed roof. The remaining two larders are in poor condition but are essentially wind and water tight.
23 October 2013: Limited external inspection possible - it would appear that the west larder has probably lost its roof entirely.
