Development History
February 1990: Local planners report that the lodge is boarded up and in need of repair. External inspection reveals it to be abandoned, roofless and threatening collapse. January 2000: The owner confirms that the lodge is not for sale, and that the estate has a planned programme of restoration in operation. 21 February 2002: The Daily Express reports that following the demolition of Lanrick Castle without Listed Building Consent, conservationists are concerned about the potential for unauthorised works to other buildings on the estate, including the lodge. June 2005: External inspection reveals the lodge to be severely overgrown.
March 2011: A member of the public contacts SCT to advise that they passed this building recently, only part of an end wall was standing.
15 July 2012: External inspection finds the building is an extremely overgrown, ruinous shell. It is not possible to make a more detailed assessment.
