Cottage orne, whitewashed and slated with bracketted eaves and distinctive heavy stone stacks. Two storey main section with dormerhead, single storey adjoining wings to either side.
Presumed to have served as an estate cottage to Benfield. Appears on the 1st edition (six inch series) OS map.

Development History
September 1995: External inspection reveals the cottage to be empty with its openings boarded up. The surrounding ground is overgrown. January 2002: Local planners visit the property and report no change.
26 February 2014: External inspection finds the building no longer fully secured and is very damp. Trees are encroaching the property. Condition moved to Poor.
14 August 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
