The lodge is empty and overgrown, though the exterior looks sound. October 1995: External inspection reveals that large holes have appeared in the roof. July 1999: Local planners report that Wemyss Estates have indicated that they would like to demolish, though planners have advised against this. January 2002: Local planners are unaware of any change. May 2002: The owners report that it is Estate policy not to market its buildings to outside parties but to renovate with a view to letting. March 2004: The owners report that restoration is problematic due to access problems. Fife Council Roads Department has vetoed plans to re-establish access to the main road. October 2007: External inspection reveals the property to have deteriorated and is now in very poor condition
November 2010: External inspection finds no significant change from the last site visit. The property continues to deteriorate.
31 July 2014: External inspection finds the building roofless and heavily encroached by vegetation.
