Description

18th century house, enlarged and baronialised in 1862 by James Matthews. The asymmetrical front elevation features angled towers and soaring turrets, with the upper cylindrical tower echoing Balmoral. The square tower doubles as a bow window.

Development History
November 1992: The house was uroofed after World War II and now stands as an ivy-covered shell in a field. The masonry remains generally intact to the wallhead. January 2000: Local planners are unaware of any change.
January 2008: External inspection reveals the building is a ruined shell which would benefit from works to consolidate and protect it from structural collapse.
18 June 2013: Local planners confirm the owner of the property remains Mr Hall.
17 October 2013: Site visit attempted, but building could not be accessed.
