Description
Hebridean-type thatched cottage. Single storey; centre doored east front, 2 deeply-set windows, door lintel raised; single window to west and to south; modern glazing; reveals partly repaired in concrete. End stacks; muran thatch roof, secured above inner wallhead with steel tubes, stones and bricks. Shown on 1st ed O.S. (surveyed 1878) (Historic Scotland)

Development History
August 1998: External inspection reveals the cottage to be empty and deteriorating. January 2001: Local planners are unaware of any change.
January 2009: External inspection finds the roof to have collapsed, along with some of the chimney structure.
March 2010: External inspection finds the building remains a ruinous shell.
6 June 2012: RCAHMS record the site during fieldwork undertaken as part of the Uists Landscapes Project. Photographs show the building remains in much the same condition as when last visited by BAR.
9 June 2015: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously - the roof continues to collapse into the cottage.
