It is feared that the conversion would obliterate the vernacular character of the cottage. April 1996: External inspection reveals the cottage to be unoccupied and deteriorating rapidly. January 2001: Local planners are unaware of any change.
January 2009: External inspection finds the thatched roof has collapsed over the north section. The north rear wall has also failed and collapsed. The rest of the roof has failed and is caving in.
March 2010: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as the previous site visit.
9 June 2015: External inspection finds the roof has further collapsed into the cottage - a timber truss is now exposed. The rear wall has collapsed further.
