Skye-type small thatched cottage, built on slight slope. Single storey; centre-doored 3-bay east front, single window central on west wall. Rubble-built; slightly battered walls, squared angles. End stacks. Muran thatch roof, secured with ropes and stone weights. (Historic Scotland)

April 1996: External inspection reveals that the cottage is unused and quickly deteriorating. January 2001: Local planners report no change.
March 2010: External inspection finds the cottage abandoned and in a poor state, but still intact. The roof is in need of maintenance.
9 June 2015: External inspection finds the roof intact but failing.
