4 November 1994: The Annandale Observer reports on complaints over the dilapidated buildings along Port Street. August 1996: External inspection reveals the building to be roofless, with its Nicholson Street gable taken down. November 2001: External inspection reveals the property to be in very poor condition. November 2003: External inspection reveals no change. It is being offered for sale as a whole or in separate lots with Nos. 75-85 Port Street via J. and E. Shepherd of Dumfries.
May 2011: Site visit finds that the building does not appear to have changed significantly since our previous visit.
10 June 2014: External inspection finds the building has lost the sliding door to Port Street and is unsecured. Otherwise, the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
26 March 2018: A member of the public advises the Port Street sliding door has been re-instated, preventing unauthorised access to the interior.
26 July 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
