Development History
September 1998: External inspection reveals all three cottages to be unoccupied, with 2 now roofless. The roof of the SW cottage is in poor condition. March 2000: Local planners are unaware of any change. August 2000: External inspection reveals continued deterioration.
January 2009: External inspection finds this SW cottage (one of three adjoining) the only one to retain, in part, its thatched roof. However there is a threat of imminent collapse of the roof due to water/ wind ingress. The masonry walls are also failing due to water penetration.
March 2010: External inspection finds the building is surprisingly intact, but in an advanced state of decay.
December 2010: Local planners report Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent have been applied for. This is for the renovation of the property and is incorporating part of the adjoining property and will also involve a partial demolition of the adjoining property.<br />

9 June 2015: External inspection finds the thatch continued to fail, although the roof structure remains intact. Full Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for restoration and extension of the cottage were conditionally approved June 2011 ref: 10/00656/PPD & 10/00655/LBC.
