Traditional farmhouse of 2 storeys and 3 bays. Rubble-built, the house is topped with a slate roof with cable-moulded scroll skews. The front elevation features a pedimented porch. Single storey office wings sit to either side, that to the left raised and incorporated into the steading complex to the rear.

Development History
July 1991: The farm and house are marketed with permissions attached for their conversion into a 5-bedroom dwelling. April 1993: External inspection reveals that the farmhouse continues to stand derelict. SCT understands it has been sold to the occupant of the adjacent farm, and the owner reports that he intends to make the house wind and watertight. He does not however wish to sell. August 1995: The owner remains anti-selling. February 2000: Local planners are unaware of any change. April 2004: Local planners are unaware of any change. September 2007: SCT is unable to re-survey the building
10 June 2014: RCAHMS is not able to access the site.
17 April 2019: External inspection reveals changes in condition. Roof in fair condition, chimneys in need of repair with one missing. Rainwater goods in very poor condition and absent from rear of property and partial at front. Walls damp and damaged due to plant growth. Windows in poor condition; partially unglazed. Garden is maintained.
