Large 2 storey detached house, built of stone with prominent quoins. A full-height bay window sits to the side. The house unusually features blank bays to the front and rear.

Development History
February 1990: Local planners report that the overall structure of the house remains in reasonable condition, but there is a need for general repairs throughout. Conversion for office, residential, hotel or guest house use would all be acceptable. August 1996: External inspection reveals the house to be boarded-up and overgrown. July 1999: External inspection reveals the building to be in serious condition. March 2001: Local planners report that they are unaware of any change. June 2005: External inspection reveals that the property remains at risk.
The building does not appear to remain under marketing for sale at this time.
June 2009: External inspection suggests that the condition of the house has little altered since the last visit by SCT.
28 September 2012: External inspection finds the building is almost entirely obscured from view to the front and rear by vegetation. It is clear that it remains at risk but little more can be reported.
23 August 2013: A member of the public advises the building remains At Risk. External woodwork has particularly suffered and cracks are in evidence on the East and West Gables.
25 November 2019: The property is being marketed for sale as a development opportunity by DM Hall, offers over £250,000 are being sought.
29 January 2021: Planning consent is being sought for the erection of care home incorporating retained elements of demolished Listed Building (103) with associated access, parking and ancillary landscaping. Woodside (105) is proposed for demolition (21/00027/FUL, 21/00028/CON, 21/00029/LBC).
25 August 2021: Previous applications (21/00027/FUL, 21/00028/CON and 21/00029/LBC) withdrawn.
Listed building consent (21/00704/LBC) being sought for demolition of outbuildings, demolitions of extensions to main building and alterations to create care home accommodation.
Planning permission (21/00703/FUL) also being sought for erection of 60 bed care home, incorporating retained listed building (category C - 103 Henderson) with associated access, parking and ancillary landscaping.
Listed building consent (21/00704/LBC) being sought for demolition of outbuildings, demolitions of extensions to main building and alterations to create care home accommodation.
Planning permission (21/00703/FUL) also being sought for erection of 60 bed care home, incorporating retained listed building (category C - 103 Henderson) with associated access, parking and ancillary landscaping.
13 February 2023: An application has been submitted for the demolition of the villa (23/00057/CON)
