Development History
July 2002: Local planners bring the lodge to the attention of the Buildings at Risk Service. February 2003: External inspection reveals that the lodge is now all but demolished with many sections collapsed. The chimney stack and parts of the external walls are all that remain. April 2004: Historic Scotland reports that temporary Listed Building Consent was granted for the removal of the roof and its reinstatement within 5 years. A Conservation Plan for the house and grounds has been prepared following Heritage Lottery Fund grants. 3 May 2004: The Dundee Evening Telegraph reports on the building's inclusion on the Buildings at Risk Register. 4 May 2004: The Dundee Courier repeats the story.
February 2010: External inspection finds the building remains in a ruinous condition. The north half has been largely lost, as has the roof. The interior is overgrown. Local Planners report that HLF funding has been secured for a Conservation Plan for the building.
27 May 2016: External inspection finds a further section of the back (west) wall has collapsed. Otherwise, the site remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
