Development History
September 1997: Local planners report that the church has been vacant for some time. It has been marketed with its manse, which is not at risk, via Stewart and Watson of Turriff. November 2000: External inspection reveals that the church probably remains vacant.
February 2008: External inspection finds the church to be in poor condition, vacant and unsecured. Planning permission for change of use from church to dwelling house was granted Feb 2004(APP/2003/0462).
16 October 2013: External inspection finds the church has been stripped of all floors, fittings etc. and is effectively a shell. A building warrant for demolition of church was approved Mar 2011 ref: DW/2011/1079. Risk level raised to Critical.
11 April 2014: The former church is currently being marketed for sale as part of a wider plot which includes the former manse and steading building through the Mortgage + Property Centre at offesr over £310,000.
