Development History
April 2004: The Clydebank Restoration Trust reports that the church is no longer used for worship, though its halls is still used.
23 April 2013: External inspection finds the church has been subject to extensive vandalism with all elements now in poor condition. The roof on the side chapel is close to collapse.
13 March 2019: A member of the public advises part of the roof has been subject to collapse and a rear masonry wall is in deteriorating condition.
3 September 2021: External inspection finds that since the previous site visit there has been a substantial collapse to the eastern end of the building. It'd couldn't be ascertained how much of the collapsed material had been cleared away but some material was visible spilling out of the building. The roof to the single storey lean-to at the north elevation has started to collapse. Of the remaining roof, there are slipped and missing roof slates, exposing the sarking in areas. Areas of dampness to the walls are evident on all elevations, there appears to be a lean or bulge in the southern elevation wall adjacent to the collapsed section, where remaining fabric is now unprotected. Rainwater goods are missing in sections, clogged with vegetation where extant. Window glazings are widely lost. There are signs of dampness to boundary walls, but there are intact in the main with railings. Vegetation is encroaching the north elevation but to the southern elevation grass is being mown. Condition moved to Very Poor and Risk to High.
