Single-vaulted commercial icehouse, rubble-built with stugged ashlar skews and a turf roof. (Historic Scotland)

Would have been utilised for the cold storage of salmon before stocks were dispatched for market.

May 1997: External inspection reveals the icehouse to be unused and in disrepair.
July 2002: External inspection reveals no change.
18 June 2012: External inspection finds the building overgrown on three sides. The main entrance on the west elevation is barely visible. Part of the coping has been lost on the east elevation. Moved to At Risk.
26 June 2013: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit. The site may be in partial use as storage space.
23 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
