Development History
February 1992: Local planners report that the mausoleum is neglected and vandalised, with its roof now partially collapsed. June 1995: No change reported. November 2007: External inspection reveals the mausoleum to be a roofless ruin and the masonry to be in poor condition.
August 2010: External inspection finds the site heavily overgrown and almost inaccesible. The mausoleum remains roofless. Whilst the stone walls are generally sound, important stones are missing and there is vegetation growths on wallheads and gables.
23 May 2014: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
29 April 2019: External inspection finds no significant change from previous visit. Site heavily overgrown.
24 July 2021: A member of the public contacts the Register to advise there has been clearance of vegetation around the mausoleum. Also notes there is settlement cracking along the south elevation and the east gable crow steps are in imminent danger of sliding off the wall head.
2 May 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
