Development History
October 2007: External inspection reveals the buildings to be in very poor condition and that buildings to the rear appear to have been demolished recently.
January 2011: External inspection finds there has been no significant change in condition since the last site visit. The property continues to deteriorate and is a cause for concern. Listed building consent for conversion of steading building to 4 dwellings was refused July 2008 ref: 08/00149/ELBC. Planning permission for conversion of steading building to 4 dwellings and erection of 19 dwellings 08/00147/FULL remains under consideration.
21 August 2014: External inspection finds the buildings remain in much the same condition as the previous site visit. Listed Building Consent for conversion of the steading to 4 dwellings was refused ref: 08/00149/ELBC. Full Planning Permission for conversion of steading to 4 dwellings and erection of 19 dwellings was withdrawn Oct 2012 ref: 08/00147/FULL.
11 June 2019: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously - subject to general decline.
10 May 2023: Local planners advise full planning permission (23/00547/FULL) for a residential new build on the site of steading is being sought. The application is seeking the demolition of the remaining farm buildings, of which the U-plan steading has already been demolished, building to the north are extant. The site was re-assessed for listed status in 2017 and subsequently de-listed.
