Development History
June 2008: External inspection finds the single storey outbuilding to be in its authentic state (clay and bool walls with lime harling) and at greatest risk. Some restoration work to the main dwelling house has been carried out.
June 2010: A member of the public contacts SCT with concerns over the condition of the single storey wing to Eastfield. The condition of the building is reported to have deteriorated, particuarly following last winters freezing temperatures. The main house is also reported to appear to remain vacant.
12 July 2012: External inspection finds the outbuilding to the East has a taurpaulin covering. Otherwisem very little obvious change is apparent. A Notice was served following loose masonry and slates May 2012 ref: 11/00026/DAN.
9 September 2015: A member of the public advises Eastfield remains disused and in deteriorating condition. The single storey section remains covered by tarpauline but this now has holes developing in it. Windows to rear are broken and a hole has developed in the wall. A sapling has taken root within the site.
15 September 2015: External inspection finds the building continues to decay: the collapsed wall in single storey wing is covered by tarpaulin and windows to rear are broken.
4 March 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains disused. Repairs to the single storey wing have been undertaken.
