Description
Part of a long range of newly harled property; stepped ridge roof, pantiled at either end. (Historic Scotland) Single storey former byre/ workshop at end of run of buildings now known as Hay Terrace, latterly part of the premises of G Hay and Sons. The building is of rubble construction with harled finish. Stone skews and steeply pitched gables. There are no windows to the street elevation. The roof is now missing but photographs in the RCAHMS archive dated 1997 show a pantiled roof. Appears on the 1st edition (6 inch) OS map.

Development History
March 2009: External inspection reveals that the cottage is a roofless shell.
August 2011: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit, however vegetation growth in the interior of the former cottage has significantly increased.
9 August 2016: Listed Building Consent for alterations to form a dwelling house for 4-5 Hay Terrace is being sought ref: 16/00845/LBC.
