Development History
May 2009: External inspection reveals that the masonry of the building is in a poor state of repair. The south-east gable is of particular concern as the masonry features large cracks and the rubble appears loose in places.
July 2011: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit. The building may be in use as a store.
26 September 2016: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
8 July 2021: Hawick’s Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS) is underway. The CARS will include a range of heritage and conservation based regeneration activities within the town and will run until 2025. More information on the scheme and available grants within the CARS boundary area can be found on Scottish Borders Council website.
