Development History
July 2009: External inspection suggests that the building is vacant. Despite the fact that the roof has recently been renewed, the rest of the building is in poor condition. Permission granted in May 2007 for conversion to a dwelling (07/00467/PP) but there has been little substantial progress since June 2008 according to local planners. Set to ALERT for monitoring purposes.
1 June 2012: External inspection finds the building in largely unchanged other than further loss of glazing. Moved to At Risk.
7 October 2014: External inspection finds slates are now missing from behind the bellcote. Large bushes have established themselves arounf the building. Gutters are broken or missing. Marketing boards are affixed to the building advertising it for sale.
16 February 2018: Local planners advise planning permission has been conditionally granted for conversion to 5 flats Sept 2016 (ref: 16/00713/PP). Building Warrant being sought Feb 2018.
3 December 2019: External inspection finds the building in much the same condition as seen previously. The area to the front of the church now contains scaffolding poles and some general building supplies. The man church building is in generally better condition than the hall to rear which has localised areas of damaged stonework and dampness below downpipes - one of which is misaligned - although has been re-roofed.
