Traditional Orcadian farmstead probably dating from the 19th century. The continuous range appears to encompass a dwellinghouse, byre and barn. Sandstone rubble construction, large flagstones for roof, now collapsed in several places. Small store to the front of the steading.

Development History
August 2009: External inspection finds the steading to be vacant. Several sections of the sandstone roof have collapsed and only the gables survive of the dwelling at the west end of the range.
5 March 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests building remains At-Risk.
