Description
One and 2 storey brick built workshops/ stores to the rear of shops on Main Street. Metal roof with felt roof extensions. Roller shutter doors to street. The town of Rutherglen once hosted one of the largest horse fairs in the area, the sales took place in Rutherglen's Main Street until 1900. Buildings to the rear of Main Street were known to be a number of farriers establishments, some of which later became larger scale forges and car repair works. An image on SCRAN, dated 1890s shows a farrier - Andrew Fleming - advertising veterinary services from a premises in Greenhill Road. Query whether 84A may have been part of this business.

Development History
February 2010: External inspection finds this simple, functional brick building may, or not, be in use. It is neglected however and trees growing from the flat roof are a sign of problems within.
