Development History
October 2010: Member of the public nominates the building for inclusion on the Register. Site is advised to have been vacant and derelict for several years. Full Planning Permission for development of the farm site, including retention of farmhouse, with development of the associated, unlisted farm, was granted subject to conditions in March 2009 ref: 07/00782/WFULL.
21 May 2014: External inspection finds the building disused and boarded up. Rainwater goods are blocked or missing in places and timber elements, where they can be seen, are in poor condition. The surrounding garden appears to be being maintained, with some minor encroachment to the farmhouse. Moved to At Risk.
21 November 2014: The property is being marketed for sale as one of two lots (the other lot being the farm steading/ land which previously secured planning permission for residential development, subject to a current application for time extension ref: 13/03330/FULL) through agent Hardies, offers in excess of £350,000.
February 2017: A member of the public notes press reports on a fire at the former farm - understood to have started in the associated barn buildings.
18 September 2020: Planning permission has been conditionally granted for the construction of 85 residential units, formation of new vehicular accesses with open space, SuDs, landscaping and other associated engineering operations including relocation of gatepiers (ref: 15/04144/FULL). Subsequent applications 15/04144/NMV1, 15/04144/NMV2 and 15/04144/NMV3 have also been approved.
30 November 2021: Being marketed for sale through Maloco Associates. Offers over £225,000 being accepted.
13 July 2022: Planning permission is being sought for two storey extensions to both sides of dwellinghouse (ref: 22/02025/FULL) and listed building consent for internal and external alterations (ref: 22/02024/LBC).
6 September 2022: External and internal inspection was carried out accompanied by Fife Council and the building owner. The roof is generally in fair condition except for missing slates around the rooflights, possibly removed for updating the rooflights on rear pitch. The rainwater goods remain in poor condition with sections missing or broken. There are areas of damp visible on the walls, primarily around damaged rainwater goods. The chimney on the East elevation shows signs of cracking and failing of the render. Scaffolding has been erected and the cement render on the front South elevation has been removed. Several windows are missing or damaged, allowing for water ingress. Some openings have been partially boarded over. The interior has been damaged by water ingress, causing loss of plasterwork. Some original decorative features remain on the ground level floor. Graffiti has been noted on the exterior. Privacy fencing has been erected around the property.

Construction of units referred to in application 15/04144/FULL and works surrounding site appear to be complete. Gate piers have been relocated.
3 May 2024: Previously noted planning permission (22/02025/FULL) and listed building consent for internal and external alterations (22/02024/LBC) has been withdrawn. Listed building consent (22/04191/LBC) for installation of replacement windows was conditionally granted 20/04/2023.
