Development History
28 December 2010: Nairnshire Telegraph reports the local community council have called for the tidy up and reuse of a vacant building in the centre of the village. The article notes the property is thought to have last been occupied in the late 1960s. There is understood to be issues with ownership of the building and the land it lies on which has put off previous attempts to purchase. For Investigation.
26 March 2013: A member of the public nominates the building for the Register - property remains disused.
26 June 2013: External inspection finds the building wind and watertight, but appears to have been disused for some time. Gutters are broken and decayed and the stonework is eroded at lower levels. All openings are blocked. The property may have been re-roofed in the past. Moved to At Risk.
17 March 2014: Local planners advise the conservation area of Ardersier is currently under review.
20 December 2019: Petty and Ardersier Community Heritage SCIO contact BARR to advise they are trying to ascertain ownership of the property with a view to pursuing restoration and re-use.
