Description

2 storey Victorian stone built lodge house set on River Tay foreshore by slipway at west end of town. Randon rubble construction with dressed quoins, slated roof with gables and high brick chimney to east gable. Three bays to South elevation. Two windows to East gable of which window to ground floor is blocked up. Bay windows to North elevation are most likely a later alteration.

Appears on the 1st edition six inch OS map, along with enclosing boundary wall.

Development History
December 2010: External inspection finds this pleasant building in a moderately poor state but does not appear to be in use. Full planning permission for the erection of 8 houses, including utilisation of the existing fishing station/ bothy, is under consideration ref: 08/01910/FULL
10 June 2014: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously. Conditionally approved for the erection of 8 dwelling houses, incorporating the restoration of the East lodge, was conditionally approved subject to legal agreement in July 2013 ref: 08/01910/FULL.
3 May 2024: Full planning permission (22/00430/FULL) was conditionally granted for change of use from bothy to dwellinghouse, with erection of 7 new build dwellings, 08/09/2023.
