Water-powered sawmill. Rubble-built. Rectangular with outshot to southwest corner. Segmentally arched entrance in east wall with loft door above. Slate roof with rooflights. Interior: overshot waterwheel, cast iron 10' diameter housed in outshot separated by wall from main body of mill. Main body contains saw and bench including rollers. Collar-beam roof. Long stone lade (200 yards) leads to mill from concrete dam. (Historic Scotland)

Development History
September 2011: External inspection finds a fine building still largely intact. The site is heavily overgrown and the building is in an advanced state of decay. The roof is heavily overgrown with ivy and to the western end and collapsing in places. Elsewhere slates are missing and rooflight broken. The walls are very damp. The associated mill lade is clogged with vegetation and rotting.
