Development History
18 April 2012: Nominated by a member of the public for the Register. Desk based assessment finds the building disused with some window openings boarded over. The building is particularly close to the roadside. Set to For Investigation.
11 June 2014: External inspection finds the building in very poor condition - there are many missing/ dislodged roof slates, the rear of the property appears to be open to the elements and there many no longer be any internal partitions left. The property is understood to have been marketed for sale and posisbly sold during 2013. Moved to At Risk.
11 November 2014: Full Planning Permission and Certificate of Lawfulness of use as dwellinghouse was lodged, but withdrawn Jun 2014 ref: 14/P/4/0032 & 14/P/4/0034. Listed Building Consent for alteration and extension of the property is currently under consideration ref: 14/P/4/0493.
17 November 2017: Listed Building Consent for restoration of the dwelling, with demolition of the side extension, is being sought ref: 17/1877/LBC.
26 July 2024: Consent for repair and alteration of the property was conditionally approved (17/1877/LBC) in 2018. A Dangerous Building Notice (21/00013/DB) was served following a partial roof collapse at the property in October 2021.
