Development History
3 June 2013: The property would appear to be disused. Two previous applications for redevelopment of the house and associated farm buildings to the rear have been rejected. For Investigation.
31 October 2013: External inspection finds the buildings remain disused. Overall the farmhouse is in fair condition - plant growth is evident to rainwater goods, damp patches and vegetation growth to walls, timber elements are in need of re-painting and repair in places. Glazing to one of the rooflights is missing in part. The single storey modern extension is in poor condition. Some patching works are evident to the roof. Full Planning Permission for alterations to the farmhouse, conversion of the steading to residential use and erection of 7 new build houses was refused Aug 2008 ref: 07/02325/FUL. A revised application for the erection of 6 new build houses was refused June 2009 ref: 09/00195/FUL. An appeal to Scottish Government (on the 2007 plans) was initially proposed for conditional acceptance in a notice of intention issued October 2009. However, following subsequent written submissions to the Scottish Government, the appeal against refusal was dismissed in Jan 2011 (ref: PPA-340-718). Move to At Risk.
19 July 2024: Full Planning Permission (22/00753/FLL) for 3 new build dwellings in the plot has been conditionally approved. Desk-based assessment suggests the adjacent historic buildings remain disused.
