23 October 2013: Nominated for the Register by Glasgow City Council. For Investigation.

16 December 2013: Local planners completed an external inspection 4 Dec 2013. Whilst the school itself is in use, the former Janitor's lodge is disused.

9 June 2014: External inspection finds the building is disused, within the grounds of a functioning primary school. There is no sign of a future use for the property and some previous repairs to rainwater goods are failing. Stone deterioration is evident at the base of walls. Moved to At Risk.

13 June 2018: External inspection finds the building remains disused, the associated school now also closed. There has been general deterioration since the previous site visit. A downpipe remains missing. Dampness has increased, with associated vegetation taking hold. A buddleia is establishing in the skew and may be disrupting slates immediately above it - a small hole may be starting. Stone defects, noted previously, remain. Condition moved to Poor and Risk to Moderate.

21 September 2020: A member of the public advises a housing association is, or has been, exploring a residential conversion at the site.

27 April 2022: A member of the public has advised that Springburn Nursery School and Janitors Lodge are now marketed for sale by City Property Glasgow LLP as of 25 April 2022.

14 December 2022: City Property Glasgow website notes they are considering offers from the recent marketing of the site.

27 February 2023: Member of the public alerts us to a fire at the school. Glasgow Live on 24/2/2023 reports that a fire broke out on the ground floor of the main school building, but the degree of damage and whether the Janitor's Lodge is also affected, is not clear at this stage.

2 August 2023: External inspection finds that the building is generally in the same condition as previous assessments. The issues with damp and leaking rainwater goods remain. There are signs of a small external fire on the south elevation where scorching and melted plastic are visible on the masonry. It appears that some vegetation growth on the building has been removed but is beginning to return. The windows and doors appear to be secure. Remains At Risk.

28 August 2023: City Property Glasgow notes that the property along with the main school building is currently under offer.
