Description

Stone built single storey public conveniences with 2 rooms built over the water of Balfour Harbour. 3 massive stone slabs form the roof. A stone wall provides privacy from the main road. Designed to be flushed with sea-water at high tide.

Would seem to appear on the OS (six inch series) map. Gifford notes the coursed rubble harbour is most probably early 19th century but extended in 1861 and then again, in concrete, in 1969.
