Number 18: 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan, tripartite, gabled house. Pedimented bay to centre. Harled, coursed Caithness stone slabs. Base course; raised, blocked margins to openings.NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: slightly advanced central bay; panelled door to centre, letterbox fanlight; flanking narrow blind bays to door and window above; cavetto moulded pediment breaking eaves. Regular fenestration to flanking bays, except large plate glass window to ground floor right.SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: abutting No 17NW (SIDE) ELEVATION: abutting No 19.SW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 2001.INTERIOR: not seen 2001.Plate glass sash and case windows. Concrete tiles. Coped skews and gable stacks. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
Number 19: Unlisted but understood to have been internally linked to 18. 2- storey terraced house, 2 bays winde with pitched slated roof over. Ground floor and pend converted to shop with black tiled surroujnd to display window and door.
Forms part of the core of Thomas Telford's 1809 scheme for the new town plan of Pulteneytown for the British Fisheries Society. (Historic Scotland)
The buildings are understood to have been internally interlinked at ground floor level for use as a butchers shop.

Development History
27 September 2013: External inspection finds the imposting number 18, a centre-piece building, compromised by the insertion of an inappropriate shop window. Some dampness at low levels and showing signs of render failure to upper level with gutters chocked with weeds and downpipes leaking. In fair overall condition and disused. Full Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent to reinstate original window opening, window surround & render facade for number 18 were conditionally granted Dec 2011 ref:11/03776/FUL & 11/03777/LBC.
Number 19 generally in fair condition and disused. Full Planning Permission for the restoration of number 19 back to residential use and blocking internal access to number 18, was conditionally granted Sept 2011 ref: 11/02688/FUL.

3 October 2014: A member of the public advises the interlinked properties are being marketed for sale as a development opportunity. Young Roberston & Co is seeking £115,000 for the site.
9 September 2016: A member of the public advises the restoration of the buildings is underway with number 19 now a 2-bedroom property and number 18 having had new windows installed. Moved to Restoration in Progress.
15 February 2024: Consent to replace cememt render for lime harl has been conditionally approved (21/00239/LBC)
