Development History
27 March 2014: External inspection finds the tenement disused with many openings boarded up. Rainwater goods are clogged with weeds and in very poor condition, stone walls have extensive algal staining. Timber elements are in need of repair and many window glazings to upper levels are broken. Scaffolding has been erected with repairs to the chimney stack underway. A Dangerous Building Notice seeking repairs to the collapsed roof, leaning chimney and loose masonry at front top floor corner was served Dec 2013 ref: 13/0340/DB.
June 2019: A member of the public notes the property remains disused and in deteriorating condition.
2 March 2022: Currently being marketed for sale through Future Property Auctions. £100,000 guide price.
12 January 2023: Property listed as sold subject to contract on Rightmove.
21 July 2023: Planning Permission 23/0218/PP submitted (Wed 26th April 2023) for the formation of four upper floor flats and associated external alterations. Installation of two ground floor shopfronts. Awaiting decision.
Building Warrent 23/0397/BW submitted (Wed 26th April 2023) for alterations to 2No ground floor shop units to reinstate internal structure and install services, and conversion of 4No offices to form 4No dwellingflats.

6 September 2023: Local planners advise ground floor is still undergoing interior renovations.
23 October 2023: Local planner advises works have paused while consents are being sought.
3 November 2023: Local planners confirm repair works have rendered the building substantially wind and water-tight, Condition moved to Fair and Risk to Low. Interior works are anticipated once consents have been approved.
1 July 2024: A member of the public advises that the ground floor is now in commercial use as a shop. They note that the building has been painted and all windows have been replaced.
