Single storey, 3-bay L-plan lodge to former Seafield Hospital. Coursed, squared sandstone; ashlar dressings. Base course; eaves course; bracketed cornice; strip quoins.
A distinctive entrance to the Seafield Estate. Of particular note is the fine standard of detailing, for example, the bracketed cornice to the gate lodge and the ornate iron-work to the wing-walled entrance. (Historic Scotland)

11 September 2014: External inspection finds the building appears in generally fair condition but appears to have been disused for some time. There is minor slate damage to the roof, rainwater goodsa are rusted and gutters have weed growth, walls appear to be in good condition and timber elements would benefit from maintenance.
