Storehouse, Market Green Car Park, Lerwick

Stone built, with slated roof, storehouse/ garage hard against the walls of Fort Charlotte. Single window to West and East elevations. Chimney stack, with pot, to West Elevation.

23 June 2014: External inspection finds the building overall in poor condition with slipped slates and rotting barge board, damaged rainwater goods and timber elements in need of maintenance. A sapling grows in close proximity to the West elevation. It is unclear whether the building remains in use.

4 October 2022: External inspection finds that some maintenance works have been carried out. The slipped slates have been repaired and the sapling on the West elevation has been removed. The timber fascia boards remain in weathered condition, along with the door and the timber sheet covering the window on the West elevation. There are missing sections of rainwater goods on both side elevations. The cementitious water-shedding detail over the doorway shows signs of cracking.
