Development History
December 1991: Inspection reveals the house to be vacant and in very poor condition. Many gutters are blocked and the whole house is now very damp, with the interior ruined by water penetration. August 1999: SCT receives reports that the house is now roofless. The owner is reported to be anti-selling. February 2000: The gable end walls are reported to be bulging. October 2000: Minor works to repair the roof and make the house wind and watertight are reportedly being considered. January 2001: Local planners report no change. January 2006: SCT visited the site and took photographs. The building is in very poor condition. There is no evidence of any works to repair the house or make it wind and watertight. July 2006: SCT contacts owners. Record of information returned with no added comments.
October 2008: Local planners report that permissions have been granted for restoration into a single residential unit.
March 2010: External inspection finds the building has steadily deteriorated in the past, but there signs that repairs works have been undertaken, possibly in advance of restoration works commencing in full. Permissions for Reinstatement of dwellinghouse and erection of conservatory were granted May 2008 ref: CL/08/0119.
30 August 2012: The owner of the house advises restoration works are well underway. Moved to Restoration in Progress.
17 December 2013: External inspection finds the restoration has progressed with the main roof felted and battened.
