Description

Part of a terrace of subdivided 2-storey, 3-bay, symmetrical, gabled houses. Coursed Caithness stone slabs. Regular fenestration, irregular to rear. Predominantly 12-pane sash and case windows. Grey slates except concrete tiles to 18, lead flashing. Coped skews and gable stacks. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

The Group listing is in recognition of the exceptional group value of these buildings as the core of Thomas Telford's 1809 scheme for the new town plan of Pulteneytown for the British Fisheries Society. (Historic Scotland)

19 June 2012: External inspection finds the building appears to have been out of use for some time. Most windows are boarded up (internally or externally). Most surviving frames are in poor condition and require maitenance.
27 September 2013: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
23 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains disused.
